The artwork titled ‘Anemometer For Sale’ describes three wind machines used by Storm Chasers. Storm Chasers use these machines to record extreme weather such as cyclones and tornadoes.

 

The anemometer is usually fixed to the top of a building or car, spinning in the direction of the storm. The reduction linocuts describe three portable and industrial anemometers.

 

The machine recorded Cyclone Ilsa in 2023 and Tornado Tansey in 2018. Pursuing extreme weather across Australia, Storm Chasers record changes to weather and landscapes.
